Keith, who has lived in the Severn Vale for nearly twenty years, has started and developed his own successful business and, therefore, fully appreciates the challenges of owning and operating small and medium sized businesses.

Prior to running his own business he gained wide experience at varying levels within banking, pub retailing and the motor industry.

Keith was particularly pleased, as an activist of Federation of Small Businesses and vice chairman of the Gloucester branch, to put his knowledge and experience to good use as a member of the county’s recovery task force in 2001 following the outbreak of Foot and Mouth disease.

When not working, Keith’s enthusiasm for local food and drink and his keen interest in the Cotswold Canals and their restoration help him relax.

Mike recently retired as an Inspector of Taxes in HM Revenue and Customs [HMRC], where he spent many years in different parts of the country examining the accounts of individuals, partnerships and companies with a wide range of turnovers. Subsequently he was appointed as the Course Director responsible for the training and development of Tax Inspectors in the Inland Revenue.

Following the amalgamation of the Inland Revenue and Customs and Excise into HMRC, Mike was part of a small team analysing the learning needs and recommending solutions across the combined HMRC. Therefore Mike's background is suited to helping focus support on training in environmental management skills and support employers to develop strategic business plans whilst moving forward with their businesses.

Having previously played rugby for both Gloucester and Gloucestershire Mike enjoys many sporting pursuits including both Rugby and Cricket and visiting far flung destinations.

Stuart started his working career as a production engineer and became works director of a manufacturing company. Stuart realised that a major key to business success is the skill of the workforce and has spent many years focussing on the development of human resources and business strategy.

As Head of Management Development and Consultancy for the Engineering Employers Western Association, Stuart has 20+ years experience helping large, medium and small companies to develop their most important business asset, their staff. His experience includes working with Rolls Royce, General Dynamics and Bristol Water. He has a particular interest in psychometric instruments and their use in developing the workforce.

As a product of Gloucestershire, Stuart is keen to be able to share his skills and experiences to support the development of local businesses.

Dan's employment background includes the world of public and private finance sandwiched between three years at university.

In his spare time Dan enjoys a variety of sports most notably football and rugby (both league and union!!) as well as travelling throughout Europe and the UK. Having studied History at University, Dan also enjoys a number of cultural pursuits such as visiting places of historical interest, festivals, art galleries and museums.
